Banksy art in Park City

3 01 2011

Just about a year ago the street artist Bansky’s documentary movie “Exit Through the Gift Shop” showed in Park City at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival. Banksy created street art in Park City to coincide with his movie at the festival. Reportedly three pieces of art were created  in Park City. There are two pieces in public view, one on the wall of a parking garage, now protected and sealed behind plexiglass and a second on a yellow wall, which was until just recently behind a plank of plywood.

I highly recommend that any artist (including photographers, videographers, etc.) see Banksy’s movie and find their closest piece of Banksy art to see in person. You will not be disappointed on either front. FYI “Exit Through the Gift Shop” has been predicted to be an 2011 Oscar nominee in the documentary category, not that that matters unless Banksy shows up in LA to make more street art.
